Florian's Filter — W20 2026

The shift from proving genAI use in corporate workflows in general, towards managing real-world genAI deployment at scale is proving much more complex than many anticipated, the friction of integration remains high. No wonder that we see weird incentive scenarios (Amazon this week...), and the genAI behemoths creating their own "forward deployed" consultant teams - in parallel to partnering with many big consulting firms already. People like me might not be out of a job so fast after all. And even if it hit me this week - at least I got a new VR game to spend the free time on!

James Tocchio reviews Among Giants, an ambitious VR epic that refuses to compromise. The review was persuasive enough to lead me back to using my Oculus Quest for gaming (mostly using it for exercising in the living room, whilst the Vision Pro is for work). The first time spent in the app already lives up to the promise of the review!
